Ten-pound crap, two-pound sack
. . . not that I store my crap in a sack. . .
Wow, it has been almost two months. I suck. So, what's happened since last update?
TekkoShoCon happened. It was a good time. I'm not gonna post any photos here, just go to my photobucket and check them out (www.photobucket.com and then search for 4570steve). My Mah-Jongg panel was very good! I brought 6 sets, and I needed them all. Special extra-huge thanks to Chris for being there, fixing up the times when I was a retard. . .
The most interesting thing about Tekko was the week right after. Sometime between sunday night and monday morning, the driver's side mirror was smashed off my car. No note left or anything, of course not. I guess I'm lucky, because anyone driving close enough to hit my mirror could have been close enough to seriously fuck up the whole side of my car. Anyway. . . I noticed that morning that the car was having problems shifting and climbing hills. I made an appointment for saturday to have it looked at. Um. . . I didn't make it to saturday. Wednesday on my way home from work, the car lost all power, and the engine light came on. Ho-kay, then! I sat on the side of the road, and my brother rescued me. We tried to get the car towed that night, but AAA was expired. . . got that taken care of, and then did the deed on thursday. Borrowed my mom's car to get to work on friday. They called about my car, and said 'good news - it's not the transmission. Bad news - it's a blocked Catalytic converter'. That was actually good news in disguise, because I had a letter from Chevy about a recall on the Cat Conv in my model car. So it was fixed for free, yay! Now all I need to do is get the mirror replaced ($250, grumble) and I'm set.
Gaming has been off and on. I barely got to turn on the PS2 all last week, poor me. I still have three or five games waiting for me to finish them. . . but all my time is being spent on Drakengard 2. I might as well finish it off and be done with it. There's three games I want this month -- Tomb Raider, Kingdom Hearts 2, and Ace Combat Zero -- but taxes and bills have kicked my ass so hard this month, I can't afford to get any of them. Meh, good thing I have a backlog of games to keep me busy.
Warmer weather is on the way, huzzah! There's lots of outdoor stuff I want to do this year -- shooting, lazer tag, HersheyPark, couple of road trips. . . plus, I'm just tired of it being cold all the time. Bleah.
I've been using Gaia quite a bit lately. . . thanks Anna! If you have the fortitude to wade through the sea of retarded horny teenagers, you can find some decent people. Most notable in my case, is a 21-year old girl called Glam, screen name of course. It's refreshing to know that some non-retarded young people still exist. She's great to chat with, and is the main reason that I am still sane. OK, that might be a bit melodramatic. . . but she's great anyway.
Hm. That's about all I have time for. . . back to work.
